In Memorium

These are the dogs and cats that are no longer here, but are still remembered.

Woody – Blustag Tuoni – 26 January 2013 – 2 February 2026
If you’ve been to our house, seen us on a walk or met us on a Pets as Therapy visit, you’ll remember Woody. My big, clownish, loving dog who’d greet people with a woo-woo, and who had a penchant for pawing at legs for attention.
He was a PAT dog for 8 years, visiting hospitals, schools and care homes, bringing joy and comfort after the initial ‘there’s a wolf on the ward’. He loved being at ‘events’ for Pets as Therapy, and went to Crufts multiple times on the PAT stand. He was on the sofa with Claire Balding. He was in a film with Chris Hemsworth, and spent a wonderful summer on the film set. He went on several protest marches in London, supporting Science and against Brexit. He was Secklow Brass’s biggest fan.
He was my heart dog and now my heart is broken.

ForYourEyesOnly of the SchiCoons – Dexter was an amazing and hard working stud cat. He sired many kittens for my good friend Janice at Janeissa, before coming to me for his final working year and his retirement.

Popocatepetl

Lisieux Popocatepetl – Popo was the first girl of my breeding that I kept, which made her very special to me. She had many beautiful kittens in her ‘working’ days.

Lisieux Pugh Pugh – Echo / Squidge was a kind and loving cat – daughter of one of my first queens, Jojo.

Bhanacoyne Archimedes Aloysius – Archie was MY first Maine coon, and one of the cleverest boys I’ve known. He gently made sure the rest of the household behaved themselves.

Cyrano – my original heart cat. Born on a farm in a hay bale

Langstteich’s K’Orlando – Bish was my frist stud boy. He passed his gentle nature onto his kittens.

Racoons Resort Aramis – Aramis was a real character! He would only drink from the tap, and he used to ‘pray’ to the sink gods – a trick he’s passed on to some of his decendants.

Bhanacoyne Serafina – Fina was the original princess cat and the first cat I ever showed. She went to the World Show in Prague and I cried when she was nominated.

Bhanacoyne Hodges Aurelius – Hodges the Big Red Cat. He wasn’t the brightest of cats, and couldn’t jump until he was one… he’d hang from windowsills, not sure how to get the rest of his body up there. He was loving and gentle

Bhanacoyne Banjo – Jojo was one of my two ‘foundation queens’ – most of my homebred cats are a descendant of either Jojo or Allie. Jo was small for a Maine coon – but this didn’t stop her being top cat!

Kassaro Monty Cristo – Monty wasn’t really cut out to be a stud or show cat, so he was neutered and lived the life of a pampered pet, uncle to all the kittens that came along

Spock was born on a hay bale. She was the more ferocious hunter, bringing in mice, birds and frogs… usually dead, but not always.

Racoons Lilly-Snow – Lilly Pie was my 40th birthday present and the first queen I chose for myself. Sadly she developed epilepsy, so wasn’t destined for a life of breeding, instead she was a pampered princess.

Lisieux Rememberance and Hope – Maple was a fantastic show cat – loving the show hall and hotel rooms.

Bhanacoyne Hermes – Rufus was the baby of the family, even when he was an old man. The other cats babied him, and he used to enjoy playing with kittens.

Juliet was the Vegas Show Dog, coming to us from our neice in Las Vegas. She had three legs, but that didn’t stop her being fabulous!

Tessa-Doo although we’d known Tess since she was 7 weeks old, she became ours at 7 years old. The brightest dog – all her toys had names, and she would bring them to us individually when asked.

Bhanacoyne Marley – Marley was our first Maine coon, and why I fell in love with the breed. Unfortunately he fell out of a tree when he was 10 months old…. but by that time I was hooked!

Louis King of the Swingers – Louis was hand reared for me, and was my Household Pet show cat. He went to the World Show several times, and loved being shown…. until he decided he didn’t. He then enjoyed being a retired show cat, and took charge of the household. He was ‘in a relationship’ with Leia.

Bhanacoyne Albert Antonius – Albie was my darling, special boy. He’d sleep snuggled in my arms and I was devastated when he passed away.

Bhanacoyne Allagra – Allie was one of my foundation queens, and half sister to Jojo. Most of my cat are decendants of these two beautiful girls. Allie was also my first Pets as Therapy cat
